Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Threat Analyst to join the Emerging Threats and Security Validation team in the Malware Research Center. You will research emerging threats, analyze malware across the kill chain, and work with engineering to strengthen Falcon's protections.

This role emphasizes automation, AI enrichment, and collaboration across multiple teams to improve detection and response. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in threat research with malware analysis, plus experience in reverse

Qualifications

• 4+ years of threat research with a focus on malware analysis.
• Experience reverse engineering file-based malware, exploits, and other attack techniques.
• Strong understanding of disassembly and structured programming.
• Deep knowledge of operating system internals for behavior-based analysis.
• Experience applying red team methodologies to validate defensive coverage.
• Proven collaboration with engineering to turn research into production.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze emerging malware and cyber threats to understand impact for customers.
• Investigate malware across the full attack lifecycle to ensure detection at every stage.
• Distinguish genuine threats from background noise using multiple data sources.
• Validate and improve detection capabilities by identifying gaps with engineering teams.
• Support external testing and certification programmes by analyzing results and missed detections.
• Translate research into product improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Design and improve automation to accelerate threat analysis.
• Communicate findings clearly to engineers and responders.
