Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd is urgently seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 for the Theatre General Surgery in Cork, Ireland. This is a full-time, permanent position within a hospital setting and offers an opportunity to lead a busy surgical theatre team.

You will provide clinical and professional leadership, coordinate daily theatre operations, ensure compliance with HIQA and NMBI standards, and support staff development through appraisals and training.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMBI and committed to patient safety and quality care.
• Minimum of three years’ postgraduate acute care nursing experience, including theatre.
• Strong knowledge of general surgery and current nursing practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and professional leadership to theatre nursing staff.
• Coordinate daily theatre operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Support staff development through appraisals and ongoing training.
• Collaborate with consultants, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams; maintain records.
