Mater Private Cork is inviting applications for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 in the Theatre department (General Surgery Theatre). The CNM1 will coordinate activity and resources, act as a role model, and provide clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary team.

As part of the nurse management team, the CNM1 will promote open communication and uphold best practice in nursing care. A strong focus on patient safety and quality is essential for this leadership role.

Qualifications

• Registration with NMBI is essential.
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate acute care nursing experience in a Theatre setting.
• Strong knowledge of General Surgery.
• Preceptorship qualification and experience preferable.

We are currently inviting applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Manager 1 for our Theatre department 9general Surgery Theatre). As a member of the nurse management team the post of CNM 1 holds a pivotal role in the coordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. As a role model, the CNM1 will promote a culture of open communication and best practice in the delivery of nursing care, providing clinical leadership and support within the multi-disciplinary team.

Candidate Requirements include:

• Registration with NMBI
• Strong values and demonstrable commitment to patient Safety & Quality.
• Minimum 3 years post graduate acute care nursing experience essential in a Theatre setting
• Strong knowledge of General surgery
• Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills.
