Qualifications

• Registration with NMBI or comparable organisation.
• Clear dedication to patient safety and quality.
• At least two years of postgraduate acute care nursing experience in a theatre.
• Experience as a theatre nurse and understanding of theatre procedures.
• Knowledge of Orthopaedics and strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• To provide all patients with high-quality, individualized care by determining their requirements and independently planning, executing, and analyzing those needs.
• The position requires flexibility to work across all specializations inside the division.
• The theatre team leader will be a role model and knowledge resource for colleagues.
• In the theatre, to support the Theatre Coordinator or assume direct managerial responsibility when required.
• To support growth and leadership of a designated group of practitioners within the unit.
