Jacobs is seeking a Senior SuDS Engineer to lead the delivery of sustainable drainage projects across Ireland, working with hydrology, hydraulic modelling, flood risk management and infrastructure design experts.

You will design, review, and deliver drainage solutions, lead projects from feasibility to handover, and mentor junior engineers while promoting innovation and sustainability in water management.

Qualificações

• Chartered status with ICE, CIWEM or similar, or actively working towards chartership.
• Strong experience in sustainable drainage, surface water management and drainage design.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy and industry design standards.
• Understanding of Safety in Design principles and CDM requirements.
• Experience using hydraulic modelling software such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, InfoWorks ICM or Causeway Flow.
• Strong technical review and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience mentoring colleagues and supporting team development.
• Passion for innovation, sustainability and the future of water management.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver outline and detailed designs for sustainable drainage systems, green infrastructure and surface water drainage strategies.
• Develop and review hydraulic calculations, drainage designs, technical specifications and contract documents.
• Lead projects through all stages of delivery, from feasibility and concept development through to construction and handover.
• Undertake hydrological and hydraulic assessments to support project development.
• Integrate climate resilience, biodiversity and sustainability objectives into design solutions.
• Promote best practice and innovation in SuDS, water management and nature-based solutions.
• Ensure projects meet relevant technical, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Support project planning, reporting and successful delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while contributing to technical excellence across the team.
