Job summary

UKG is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a senior, small team responsible for reliable, observable, and safe services at scale. This hands-on role involves engineering decisions, operability, and long-term sustainability beyond delivery speed.

You will own operational health across environments, collaborate with product and engineering, and mentor others while improving automation and incident response processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in engineering, cloud, or reliability-focused roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS in production environments is required.
• Experience operating or supporting customer-facing systems at scale.
• Ability to write production-quality code or automation (Python, JavaScript, Java, Go).
• Strong understanding of version control, CI/CD concepts, and system reliability fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and improve the full lifecycle of services from conception to end-of-life, including design input and capacity planning.
• Define and evolve standards related to architecture, service delivery, metrics, and automation.
• Own the management and health of multiple environments, including provisioning and lifecycle.
