Jobgether is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer based in Ireland for a fully remote role. You will tackle complex reliability, infrastructure, and platform challenges spanning Kubernetes, cloud, IaC, observability, CI/CD, and AI-enhanced workflows, shaping architecture and long-term reliability strategy.

You will own high-impact projects, mentor engineers, implement SLOs/SLIs, incident response, and collaborate asynchronously across a global org.

Qualifications

• Solid professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience operating and scaling Kubernetes in production, including Docker and the wider container ecosystem.
• Proven experience designing, building, and managing production cloud infrastructure using AWS or similar.
• Strong practical expertise with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Hands-on experience with reliability engineering frameworks, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, alerting, and incident management.
• Observability expertise with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalents.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Proficiency in Golang, Bash, and scripting; other languages a plus.
• Proven ability to apply AI/agentic workflows to infrastructure, ops, or software engineering.
• Strong production operations, troubleshooting, automation, and platform reliability.
• Clear communication in asynchronous, globally distributed teams.
• Proactive, curious mindset with ownership and delivery focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, design, and delivery of complex reliability initiatives across platforms.
• Contribute to platform architecture, tooling roadmaps, and reliability-focused priorities.
• Define and operate reliability practices: SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, alerting, observability standards.
• Use metrics to identify systemic reliability issues and influence technical strategy.
• Resolve cross-team infra requests, create reusable automation, docs, and runbooks.
• Operate and scale production Kubernetes environments and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop infra as code using Terraform and support modern CI/CD workflows.
• Apply AI-native approaches in infrastructure, operations, and development workflows.
• Design systems with AI-assisted engineering, secure-by-default patterns, and guardrails.
• Mentor less-senior engineers and participate in RFC discussions and hiring.
