Job summary

Klaviyos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Reliability to build and operate critical platforms at scale. You will design reliable, secure services, automate infrastructure, and drive observability and incident response improvements.

You will collaborate with product, platform, and security teams, mentor peers, and contribute to long-term reliability initiatives while supporting on-call rotations and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating distributed systems.
• Production-grade coding in Python or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate foundational services with emphasis on availability, scalability and low latency.
• Automate infrastructure and reduce toil to improve system reliability.
• Define and evolve SLIs, SLOs and error budgets for engineering decisions.
• Improve observability and incident response to reduce MTTD and MTTR.
• Participate in on-call rotations with sustainable incident handling.
• Perform capacity planning, load testing and performance analysis for distributed services.
