Job summary

Dun & Bradstreet in Ireland seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to safeguard production systems across platforms, emphasizing automation, observability, and incident response.

You will own reliability in Google Cloud Platform, participate in incident handling, and drive SRE practices with Splunk Observability and OpenTelemetry for multi-region, highly available services. On-call support and cost optimisation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field required.
• Strong experience with cloud-native concepts, GCP and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering and incident management.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools like Splunk Observability or OpenTelemetry.
• Automation, reliability testing, and cost optimisation exposure encouraged.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; fast issue diagnosis.
• Fluency in English; able to collaborate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve reliability, availability, and performance of production services.
• Lead incident management across detection, triage, mitigation, and recovery.
• Enhance incident workflows using ServiceNow to ensure clear ownership.
• Design and operate observability solutions including monitoring, logging, tracing, and dashboards.
• Reduce toil via automation and SRE best practices; drive scalability.
• Support on-call rotations across time zones for 24/7 coverage.
• Define, monitor, and report SLIs/SLOs and error budgets for critical services.
• Promote best-in-class reliability through automation and proactive engineering.
