Job summary

Partner Company in Ireland is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design, operate, and evolve Kubernetes platforms across demanding production environments.

You will own platform components, automate provisioning, and contribute to CI/CD, GitOps, and observability initiatives while mentoring colleagues in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in DevOps/platform engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes including cluster lifecycle management and core components.
• Terraform and Helm for automation and configuration management.
• OKD/OpenShift experience.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows, ideally ArgoCD.
• Programming or scripting in Go, Python, or Bash.
• Observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• SLI/SLO design and reliability engineering principles.
• Security standards and compliance integrated into architectures.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, maintain, and evolve Kubernetes-based platforms for production environments at scale.
• Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycles, ingress controllers, and related components.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts and Kustomize configurations.
• Work with OKD/OpenShift to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Automate provisioning using Terraform and Helm.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD).
• Build automation tools using Go, Python, and Bash.

Accountabilities

• Design, operate, maintain, and evolve Kubernetes-based platforms forproduction environmentsat scale.
• Manage Kubernetes clusterlifecycles, ingress controllers, service meshes, cert-manager, and relatedplatform components.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts and Kustomize configurationsfor repeatable platformdeployments.
• Work extensively with OKD/OpenShift and platform technologies to deliver reliable infrastructuresolutions.
• Automate platform provisioningand configuration usingTerraform and Helm.
• Design and operateCI/CD pipelinesand GitOps workflows, including ArgoCD-baseddeployment models.
• Develop automation andplatform tooling usingGo, Python, and/or Bash.
• Build and improveobservability solutionsusing Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Design and implement SLI/SLO frameworks for distributed systems, helping improve reliability and operational visibility.
• Integrate security standards, compliance requirements, and platform securitybest practices intoinfrastructure architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams on technical initiatives, platform roadmaps, and infrastructure improvements.
• Mentor colleagues, contributeto technical knowledgesharing, and supportthe continuous improvementof engineering practices.
• Create and maintain platform documentation, including architecture decision records, runbooks,and technical designmaterials.

Requirements

• Several years ofprofessional experiencein DevOps, platformengineering, infrastructure, or a closelyrelated discipline.
• At least1 year ofhands-on, dailyproduction experience withKubernetes, including clusterlifecycle management andcore platform components.
• Strong practical experience with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
• Hands-on experiencewith OKD orOpenShift.
• Proven experience designingand operating CI/CD pipelines andGitOps workflows, ideallyusing ArgoCD.
• Strong programming orscripting capabilitiesin Go, Python, and/or Bash.
• Solid knowledge ofPrometheus, Grafana, andOpenTelemetry, with experienceapplying observabilitypractices to distributedsystems.
• Experience with SLI/SLO design andreliability engineeringprinciples.
• Understanding of security standards,platform security practices, and integrating compliancerequirements into infrastructurearchitectures.
• Strong communication andpresentation skills, withthe ability tocollaborate effectivelyacross technical andcross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated mentoring experienceor a willingnessto contribute tothe technical developmentof colleagues.
• Structured, autonomous,dependable, and proactiveapproach to work.
