Job summary

VETRO FiberMap, Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to scale the global platform and deliver next-generation GIS fiber management software. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Operations and emphasizes reliability, automation, and secure scalable cloud infrastructure.

The position is based in Dublin, Ireland Center of Excellence, with hybrid work expectations. The candidate should have 5+ years in SRE/DevOps along with strong AWS, IaC, and observability skills to support a

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or similar role
Proven ability to provision, deploy, and support highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)
Strong knowledge of monitoring, observability, and incident management
Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems across apps, DBs, networks, and infra
Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash) and CI/CD practices
Experience with spatial data and relational DBs (PostgreSQL, PostGIS)
Security posture and SOC 2 familiarity
Ability to work across multiple teams in a growth environment
Interest in AI/automation to improve reliability engineering

Responsibilities

Establish and improve SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, alerting, and platform health.
Build, operate, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code.
Ensure observability to quickly understand performance, failures, dependencies, and customer impact.
Improve detection, response, root-cause analysis, postmortems, and on-call procedures.
Automate deployments, remediation, infrastructure management, capacity planning, and repetitive ops work.
Scale the VETRO FiberMap platform using modern cloud tools; identify bottlenecks and improve performance.
Design and develop platform tools to improve CI/CD, deployment safety, environments, tooling, and self-service.
Apply security best practices; assist with access controls, vulnerability management, backups, and SOC 2 readiness.
Use AI and automation to accelerate troubleshooting, log analysis, and documentation.
Monitor cloud utilization and ensure cost-effective infrastructure growth.
