Job summary

Arista Networks, Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the team remotely from Ireland. You will design, build and operate scalable production systems with a focus on reliability, observability and security.

The role requires deep Linux knowledge, IaC and strong automation capabilities to reduce toil. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment workflows, monitor systems, and implement automated incident response across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering.
• 5+ years in infrastructure or systems role.
• Strong programming in Go, Python or Bash.
• Solid Linux/Unix administration and debugging skills.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with server provisioning for storage and networking.
• Excellent collaboration and communication.
• Experience with incident response and postmortem analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable production systems.
• Develop automation to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
• Monitor systems, implement alerting, and automate incident response.
• Create runbooks and perform postmortems to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with software engineers to optimize deployment workflows.
• Maintain and expand monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Plan maintenance windows with minimal disruption.
• Triage issues with stakeholders and vendors as needed.
• Deploy new systems in staged, risk-managed fashion.
• Adopt best practices for secure, fault-tolerant architectures.
