Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd. in Dublin is hiring a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to deliver a high quality service within a hospital setting, focusing on adult patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.

The role requires CORU registration and at least 4 years’ experience, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, evidence-based practice, and multidisciplinary collaboration. You will conduct specialist assessments, videofluoroscopy, training for staff, and ensure accurate records

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy with CORU registration.
• Minimum of 4 years’ Speech and Language Therapy experience with dysphagia training.
• Competence in assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult dysphagia and related disorders.
• Experience with outpatient caseloads and videofluoroscopy clinics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality Speech & Language Therapy service in line with best practice and hospital policies.
• Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and information for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Perform videofluoroscopy procedures and prepare clinical reports.
• Represent and promote SLT services within the hospital and train staff on swallowing screening.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with legal and data protection requirements.
• Collaborate with the SLT team and multidisciplinary colleagues to support patient care and service delivery.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives.
