This senior full-stack role focuses on platforms enabling journalists to create, manage and publish content with modern cloud-native, AI-enabled capabilities. You will mentor, review code, and help scale editorial systems while upholding security and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong React experience and modern web development.
• RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Cloud-native apps with AWS and serverless patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs and integrations using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and evolve platforms supporting content creation, management and distribution.
• Develop integrations between CMS, editorial systems and downstream products.
• Support and improve newsroom workflows for publishing content.
• Lead platform modernisation, CMS transformation and content migration.
• Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS and modern architectures.
• Build microservices and event-driven architectures for editorial workflows.
