Job summary

Acuity Inc. in Cork, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support enterprise software within the PDM ecosystem. You will work in a cross-functional Agile team, delivering REST APIs, data services, and modern web experiences.

Strong C#/.NET and cloud DevOps practices are required, along with mentoring teammates. Responsibilities include code reviews, design improvements, and collaboration with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps to drive business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on programming with C# and .NET, OO design and DI.
• Proven experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience building web-based enterprise apps and integrating frontend with backend.
• Strong SQL and relational DB skills, data modeling.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems via REST APIs, services, events, or batch processes.
• Proficiency with Git, branching, PRs, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
• Solid understanding of secure coding, observability, and API design.
• Experience in Agile software development and SAFe.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable software.
• Apply patterns and solid principles with DI and repository patterns.
• Lead in C#/.NET backend development within an Agile team.
• Develop REST APIs and backend services.
• Build data access patterns and integrations with databases.
• Integrate PDM with enterprise systems and downstream consumers.
• Contribute to test automation and quality engineering practices.
• Improve observability with logging and monitoring.
• Mentor engineers and participate in code reviews.
