Job summary

Acuity Digital Center of Excellence in Cork seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support software solutions within Product Data Management. You will build REST APIs, event-driven integrations, data services, and modern user experiences in a cross-functional Agile team.

Strong C#/.NET engineering capability is required, with experience delivering enterprise apps, DevOps practices, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on programming with C# and .NET, including OO design, DI, async programming, and modern coding practices.
Proven experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
Experience building web-based enterprise apps and integrating frontend and backend.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable software.
Strong command of code-level design patterns and SOLID principles.
Deep fluency in C#/.NET; backend services and REST APIs.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
Write clean, secure, well-documented code and follow DevOps practices.
Develop and enhance web apps and data-driven user experiences for product data management.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Mentor engineers and contribute to code quality and testing standards.
