Job summary

Dell Technologies’ Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) in Cork is seeking a Software Senior Engineer to help build enterprise-grade storage and AI-enabled platforms. You’ll engage in planning, design, implementation, testing and deployment of scalable systems that power customers’ data workloads and operational needs across the stack.

We value 3–5 years in C, C++, Java or Python, plus experience in distributed systems, API design and microservices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related software development experience.
• Experience in filesystem/distributed systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into precise technical specs.
• Excellent analytical, debugging & problem solving skills.
• Advanced prompting and context engineering to guide AI tools toward desired outputs.
• Experience in software architecture: system design, API design, microservices, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on all aspects of software development life cycle: planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Author and manage detailed technical specifications
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, AI agents and other engineers to define and implement technical solutions
• Coach and mentor more junior team members
