Job summary

Ripple is hiring a software engineer to design, build, and maintain backend services powering the Cash Forecasting platform. You’ll work across a large multi-tenant SaaS codebase, focusing on the data layer and API design, with opportunities to contribute to frontend work when needed.

You’ll bring 4-8 years of professional experience, strong SQL (PostgreSQL), and proficiency in Docker, Git, and RSpec. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, React, AWS, and AI-assisted development is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of professional software development experience, ideally with full-stack work
• Strong SQL fundamentals; PostgreSQL ideal
• Comfortable working within large, existing codebases and making changes safely
• Scripting ability for automation and tooling (language-agnostic)
• Experience with Docker or other containerisation technologies
• Proven Git proficiency and collaborative branching workflows
• Proficiency in Ruby, Python, or Java
• Experience employing AI tools in the development lifecycle to speed up problem-solving and delivery
• Experience testing with RSpec

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for the Cash Forecasting platform
• Work across a large multi-tenant SaaS codebase to scale for enterprise customers
• Own the data layer, schema design, query performance, and data integrity (PostgreSQL)
• Write and maintain thorough test coverage with RSpec
• Package and deploy services using Docker in AWS-based cloud
• Write scripts to automate repetitive work and support data migrations
• Instrument systems with observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate needs into solutions
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
• Be an on-call champion as part of YBIYRI ethos
