Job summary

Ripple is seeking a software engineer to join the Cash Forecasting team. You’ll design and maintain backend services and APIs for a multi-tenant SaaS platform handling real-time cash forecasting for enterprise clients.

You’ll work with Ruby on Rails and React, prioritising data integrity in PostgreSQL, test extensively with RSpec, and deploy via Docker in an AWS-based cloud. Expect collaboration across product and engineering, on-call rotations, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong SQL fundamentals and PostgreSQL experience.
• Proficiency in at least one major language (Ruby, Python, or Java).
• Experience with Docker or containerisation; Git proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for the Cash Forecasting platform; contribute to frontend when needed.
• Work within a large, multi-tenant SaaS codebase at scale.
• Own the data layer, schema design, and query performance with PostgreSQL.
• Write and maintain tests with RSpec; ensure test coverage.
• Package and deploy services using Docker; operate in AWS infrastructure using best practices.
• Develop automation tooling for data migrations and repetitive tasks.
• Implement observability: logging, metrics, tracing; diagnose and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions; contribute to team growth.
