Job summary

Bentley Systems, a leader in infrastructure software, seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Dublin with expertise in TypeScript and C++. You will own major features, drive architecture, and mentor a growing team, delivering cross-platform interoperability across desktop and cloud services.

You will work in a hybrid environment, contribute to real-time collaboration on large datasets, and shape testing strategies while advancing the iTwin Platform and related tools.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated software engineering experience designing and shipping scalable software.
• Expertise in OO languages (TypeScript, C++, C#, Java) and design patterns (SOLID, OOP).
• Proven track record building web services and APIs; strong testing mindset (TDD).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of full-stack interoperability solutions in TypeScript & C++.
• Own major features and system-level designs focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; drive engineering excellence across the team.
• Evaluate new technologies and shape the technical strategy of the group.
• Architect and implement robust testing strategies (unit, integration, system).
• Document best practices, patterns, and solutions; lead design discussions in agile teams.
