Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer in Dublin. You will work directly with the global Product & Technology organization, tackling rapid prototyping, architectural de-risking, and tactical engineering initiatives.

You will act as a polyglot across languages and clouds, delivering functional PoCs and transitioning successful solutions to core product teams, with a strong emphasis on autonomous, owner-driven work and high-signal communication with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering high-performance software.
• Fluency in multiple languages (C#, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C++) and ability to learn new ones.
• Experience with distributed systems, containers, and at least one major cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Full-spectrum problem solving across varied technical domains.
• De-risk architecture by prototyping PoCs to validate performance and technologies.
• Operate across the stack and cloud to deliver right solutions for the business.
• Package validated architectures and hand off deliverables to P&T teams.
