Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking a polyglot Senior Software Engineer to join a high-velocity Strategic Initiatives squad within the Office of the CTO. You will build PoCs, prototype with AI tools, and tackle distributed systems challenges to accelerate strategic projects.

The role offers autonomy and collaboration with senior architects. You will work across languages such as C#, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C++, in cloud-native environments using Docker and Kubernetes, with hybrid work in Ireland.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Fluent across multiple programming languages and domains.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect PoCs and benchmark performance.
• Collaborate with CTO leadership on exploratory engineering problems.
• Prototype across domains including microservices and front-end spikes.
• Integrate AI-assisted workflows into day-to-day development.
