Job summary

Cisco dCloud is seeking a Software Architect to design and deliver demos and automation across on-prem and cloud environments. You will build scalable APIs and libraries, integrate AI tooling, and guide architecture while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

In this remote‑first role, you’ll contribute code, shape technical direction, and ensure reliable demos with fast release cycles. You’ll work with Go, Python, Kubernetes, and AI-enabled workflows to empower Cisco demos globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering.
• 10+ years in software engineering, incl. 3+ years designing distributed systems.
• Production development in Go and Python.
• Experience running containerized services on Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs or libraries used by other teams.

Responsibilities

• Code services, SDKs and libraries in Go and Python (approx. 45%).
• Architectural work: design docs, design reviews, engineering standards (≈25%).
• Maintain reliability and security of systems (≈15%).
• Plan work with partner teams and content developers (≈15%).
