Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a Software Architect for the Demo Platform & Automation team to design and build scalable demo infrastructure. You will contribute as an individual in a remote-first setting, shaping technical direction across multiple partner teams while delivering reliable demos and AI-enabled automation.

The role splits time between coding, architecture, and ensuring system reliability and security, collaborating with content developers and UI teams to accelerate demo shipping

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/engineering and 10+ years in software engineering.
3+ years designing distributed systems across on-prem and public cloud (AWS).
Production Go and Python development experience.
Experience containerizing services on Kubernetes with GitOps and CI/CD tooling.
Experience designing APIs, SDKs or libraries; AI coding tools exposure.

Responsibilities

Code services, SDKs and libraries in Go and Python for Kubernetes-based demos.
Architectural design, review designs and set engineering standards.
Maintain reliability and security while planning work with partner teams.
Develop MCP servers and chatbots to simplify demos and AI-driven automation.
