Cisco Systems, Inc. Dublin team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and lead end-user features at scale. You will translate product requirements into technical designs and executable tasks within an existing framework, while mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an analytical subject such as Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of delivering production-quality software at scale.
• Strong architecture and programming expertise with the ability to make sound technical decisions and learn new technologies.
• Proven ability to apply and lead a structured, scientific, and creative approach to solving complex engineering problems.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, influencing technical direction, and communicating with stakeholders.
• Deep commitment to software quality, including test strategy, code reviews, and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and technically lead end-user features used by millions of people worldwide.
• Own the breakdown of product requirements into clear technical designs and executable tasks, delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions.
• Act as a technical point of reference for the team—reviewing designs and code and guiding implementation decisions.
• Listen to the customer and elevate their experience; analyze CSAT, NPS, feedback, and metrics to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver delightful experiences while balancing speed and quality.
• Enable the team to focus on complex problems by using AI tools responsibly across the development lifecycle.
• Mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of learning and ownership.
• Bring curiosity and a fun personality to the team.
