Job summary

Cisco dCloud is seeking a Software Architect to design and build the Demo Platform & Automation stack. You will contribute to the architecture, implement services in Go and Python on Kubernetes, and create APIs and libraries used by other teams.

You’ll collaborate with multiple partner teams and content developers to deliver reliable demos and AI-enhanced automation. The role emphasizes remote-first work with global teams, strong engineering standards, and opportunities to shape technical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent) and 10+ years in software engineering.
3+ years designing distributed systems across on-premises datacenters and public cloud (e.g., AWS).
Production experience in Go and Python development.
Experience running containerized services on Kubernetes (EKS) with GitOps, CI/CD and IaC.

Responsibilities

Code ~45% of the time, building services, SDKs and libraries in Go and Python on Kubernetes.
Lead architecture efforts: write designs, review designs and set engineering standards.
Maintain reliability and security while planning work with partner teams and content developers.
Develop MCP servers and chatbots to improve demo search and run reliability.
