Job summary

Avista in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, is seeking a Senior Social Work Practitioner to join the CDNT. The role is permanent full-time (35 hpw) and focuses on assessment and intervention for children and young people with complex needs arising from disability.

The post involves working with families across health, welfare and education services, using a family-centred, interdisciplinary approach. CORU registration and post-qualification experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered social worker with CORU.
• Experience with children and families in community settings.
• Experience supervising and supporting staff.
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration across health, welfare and education.

Responsibilities

• Assess and intervene for children and young people (0–18) with complex needs arising from disability.
• Provide support to families before, during and after diagnosis.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team with OT, psychology, speech and language therapy, nursing, and pediatricians.
• Promote safe, holistic and family-centred care across services.
