Job summary

Allied Health/Nursing is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Athlone. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing social work support to children and families with developmental and complex needs.

The successful candidate will engage closely with children and their families, offering family-centered support, advocacy, and intervention. The position includes managing a complex caseload and collaborating with various professionals to ensure optimal care and resources are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience working with children, families, disability, or community services desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work assessment, intervention, and support to children and families attending the CDNT service.
• Support families in accessing appropriate services, resources, and community supports.
• Manage a varied and complex paediatric disability caseload.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide emotional support, advocacy, and practical guidance to families and carers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.
