Job summary

CoAction West Cork is seeking a Professionally Qualified Senior Social Worker to join the West Cork Children’s Disability Network Team. The role is a permanent contract for 35 hours per week, with a closing date of 2 October 2026.

The post involves delivering social work support to 0–18-year-olds in an interdisciplinary, family-centred framework, reporting to the CDN Manager, and providing training as required.

Qualifications

• Degree (Honours) in Social Work and CORU registration.
• Minimum of 3 years’ social work experience.
• Willingness to lead and participate in new service initiatives.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of social work services to children and families on the CDNT.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing needs-based service.
• Attend family meetings, team meetings and external conferences.
• Provide training to parents, staff, volunteers and students as required.
• Maintain records and reports and liaise with HSE, Tusla and other agencies.
• Contribute to policy development, service development and evaluation.
