Job summary

Job description

I am seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join a dynamic Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a progressive, family-centred, interdisciplinary team, supporting children and young people (0–18 years) with complex developmental needs.

The Role

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key leadership and clinical role within the team, delivering high-quality psychological services and supporting best practice across the service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention
  • Supporting children with a range of disabilities including ASD, intellectual disability, and complex needs
  • Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team (OT, SLT, Physiotherapy, Social Work, etc.)
  • Providing clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff and team members
  • Contributing to service development, audit, and evidence-based practice
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
  • Eligibility for membership with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI)
  • Minimum 2years’ post-qualification experience, including relevant paediatric/disability experience
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and report writing skills
Desirable
  • Experience within a CDNT or paediatric disability setting
  • Supervision and leadership experience
  • Familiarity with HSE frameworks and national disability services
