Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Senior Social Care Worker for services across Meath, Republic of Ireland. The role supports adults with complex needs in residential, respite or day services, with emphasis on independence and community participation.

You will lead on day-to-day service coordination in line with National Disability Standards, supervise staff on duty, and contribute to an extensive training and mentoring programme.

Qualifications

• A minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care and started registration with CORU.
• Experience working with adults with complex needs in residential/ respite or day services.
• Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a Leadership role.
• Knowledge of National Disability Standards.

Responsibilities

• Support service users in day-to-day activities and encourage independence.
• Engage service users in meaningful activities and promote community participation.
• Build positive relationships with service users and staff.
• Assist with upkeep of the residential service and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate shifts and supervise staff on duty.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Salary: EUR43000 - EUR44500 per annum

FRS Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Senior Social Care Worker to join aleadingintellectual disability service in services across Meath. This service aims to empower individuals with the necessary skills to encourage them to live fulfilling and satisfying lives as equal citizens of their local communities. Its vision is delivered through its core values of client – centres services, committed to being and doing the best for their service users, staff and organisation.

In your new role you will:

• Support the service users you are working with in their day – to – day activities.
• Encourage them to live as independently as possible and to engage in meaningful activities.
• Build a positive relationship with both the service users and staff team.
• Assist with the general upkeep of the residential service.
• Ensure compliance is in line with all regulatory standards and company policies.
• Work as part of the on floor duty team and will also be responsible for co-ordination of the shift whilst on duty and for the supervision of other staff under his/her direction.
• All other tasks as outlines by your manager.

To be a successful candidate you will have:
