Job summary

eSentire, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Specialist for its 24x7 SOC to lead escalations, craft automated playbooks, and deliver expert investigations. You will build threat-informed content, mentor analysts, and work across teams to optimize threat detection and response.

A deep background in MDR/MSSP, MITRE ATT&CK, and EDR tooling is essential. You will report to a Security Lead/Manager and support customers worldwide, including complex incident handling and post-event reviews.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years in a Security Operations Centre (MDR/MSSP) or customer-facing security role.
• Advanced knowledge of adversary behaviour and MITRE ATT&CK framework and how to explain to customers.
• Deep knowledge of Windows internals, endpoint telemetry, and cross-platform basics (Linux/macOS).
• Hands-on investigation with leading EDR platforms and ability to map detections to actions and safe responses.
• Experience with SIEM/log platforms and writing queries to validate detections.

Responsibilities

• Provide live support for high-impact cases and escalate as needed.
• Lead complex or sensitive escalations and named-resource engagements.
• Develop content and automated playbooks to speed resolutions and reduce manual touchpoints.
• Audit support quality and coach analysts to improve performance.
• Maintain thorough case records and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tooling and processes.
