ThreatDown is seeking a dedicated cybersecurity professional to join our team providing professional services for ThreatDown customers, defending and remediating against cyber threats. This role emphasizes real-world incident handling and continuous improvement in a high-velocity MDR environment.

The successful candidate will bring a passion for cyber defense, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work autonomously within a team.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in cybersecurity, CS, or related field (or 2+ years of related experience).
• Ability to gather and analyze information methodically to inform decisions.
• Ability to be self-directed and execute tasks independently.
• Some knowledge of Windows, MacOS and Linux environments.
• Understanding of IP networking and IT security fundamentals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaborative attitude.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.

Mansioni

• Monitor and analyze log data and alerts in real-time; escalate and report validated security incidents to customers.
• Investigate and validate alerts.
• Handle incidents as defined in playbooks and standard operating procedures and advise customers on remediation actions.
• Escalate difficult or complex issues to more experienced staff.
• Prepare incident reporting for customers outlining the threat, characteristics, and remediation activities.
• Provide peer review for incident reporting.
• Manage and track customer issues and requests.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Support the development of the SOC through project work.
