Job summary

Reap is expanding its Site Reliability Engineering practice to own a payments platform, across multiple regions and PCI DSS compliance. You will lead by example, define SLIs/SLOs, and drive infrastructure as code, automation, and self-service capabilities for engineering teams.

You will help design a scalable, secure, and observable platform that supports agent-initiated payments and future growth while maintaining high reliability across the ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Senior Site Reliability Engineer with hands-on experience building and operating large, PCI-compliant cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to drive IaC adoption, define SLIs/SLOs, and lead incident response programs.
• Experience across multiple AWS regions, compliance, security, and financial services considerations.

Responsibilities

• Define reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs) with product teams and implement budgets.
• Participate in on-call rotations and postmortem processes.
• Shift remaining infrastructure to IaC, reduce drift, and ensure reproducible provisioning.
• Consolidate Terraform state into a coherent, governed codebase with modules.
• Automate account provisioning and environment setup for new regions/services.
• Build self-serve interfaces for provisioning, deployment, and observability.
• Design ephemeral environments for developers and agents with automatic cleanup.
• Implement observability across logging, metrics, and tracing with actionable alerts.
• Own cloud operations for PCI DSS and regulated financial systems.
• Embed security, least-privilege IAM, and network segmentation in infrastructure.
• Enable AI assistants to operate safely with isolated, auditable actions.
