Job summary

Prove is seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering to lead two Ireland-based teams—Platform Developer Enablement and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). You will drive cloud infrastructure, software delivery, and developer self-service, pushing for extreme reliability and strong observability.

You will set visible goals, mentor engineering managers, and align the platform roadmap with business strategy, while championing DevOps and IaC across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in senior software engineering, SRE, or platform engineering.
• 5+ years of management experience leading managers.
• Extensive SaaS in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD (GitOps, ArgoCD).
• Programming in Go or Java; capable of code reviews.
• Expertise in distributed systems design and architectures.
• Advanced observability with OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and streaming (Kafka/Redis).
• Excellent communication bridging tech and business.

Responsibilities

• Lead two teams: Platform Developer Enablement and SRE.
• Define platform roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Champion DevOps, automation, and IaC best practices.
• Oversee design and operation of scalable, reliable platform.
• Establish and enforce SLOs and incident processes.
• Drive observability and monitoring across services.
• Collaborate with PM, security, and other leaders.
