Job summary

Clancy is seeking an experienced construction professional to lead on-site activities for healthcare, commercial and residential projects across Ireland. You will manage safety, coordinate direct staff and subcontractors, and ensure projects meet plans, deadlines and quality standards.

The role requires strong communication, leadership and teamwork, with English proficiency essential for effective coordination with clients, consultants and the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a safe worksite prioritising safety and efficiency.
• Oversee a safe workforce including direct staff and subcontractors.
• Check plans, drawings and supervise subcontractors across the project.
• Plan work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Oversee quality control and QC measures onsite.
• Resolve technical difficulties with the Design Managers.
• Address technical queries and interface with client, consultant and architect on RFIs.
• Attend meetings with clients, architects and consultants and report progress.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and planners.
• Coordinate quality management and BCAR activities.
• Manage energy consumption and ensure alignment with the energy program.

KeyResponsibilitieswillinclude:

• Managingasafeworksiteaboveallothercompetingfactorsandatalltimes.
• Managingasafeworkforce(directstaffandsub-contractors).
• Checkingplans,drawingsandsupervisionofsubcontractorsacrosstheproject.
• Planningallworkefficiently-ensuringstrictdeadlinesaremet.

Qualifications/Experience:

• 10years’+experienceinhealthcare/commercial/residentialconstruction–ideallywithinamain/specialistcontractor.
• Demonstratedin-depthknowledgeoftheconstructionindustryandprojectexecution.
• Excellentcommunicationskills.Youwillpossesstheabilitytocommunicateclearlytoallstakeholders.
• Teamplayerwithabilitytobuildeffectiverelationshipsatalllevels.
• Confident,experiencedindividualwithstronginterpersonalskills.
• ComputerliterateandfamiliarwithMSoffice,excel,project,(orsimilarschedulingpackage)
• Demonstratedknowledgeofsafetymanagementandqualitymanagement
• Abilitytoleadwithconfidence,mentorandmotivateColleaguesandthewiderteam.
