Job summary

Ward Personnel is seeking a Senior Site Manager for a Dublin 2 site on a phased restaurant/bar fit-out ahead of a full hotel build on the same site.

You will report to the Project Manager and coordinate with subcontractors, the design team, and the client, ensuring safety, programme, and quality across both phases. The ideal candidate has strong main contractor experience in city-centre live sites and hospitality/hotel fit-outs.

Qualifications

• Trade or degree qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' experience with a main contractor, including time as a Site Manager.
• Experience delivering hospitality, hotel, or high-end fit-out projects preferred.
• Proven ability to manage live city-centre sites with restricted access and logistics.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation; Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and CSCS/SOLAS cards.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day operational control of the Dublin 2 site.
• Plan and sequence works to protect programme across phases.
• Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour on site.
• Chair site meetings and manage RFIs and technical queries.
• Monitor programme, quality, and progress; report to PM and senior management.
• Manage snagging, handover, and close-out to practical completion.
• Mentor site supervisors and junior staff.

Job description

Our client is a Tier 2 main contractor with an established development arm, delivering major residential and commercial projects across Ireland. A phased scheme delivering a new restaurant/bar fit-out ahead of a full hotel build-out on the same site.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Site Manager will take full day-to-day operational control of the Dublin 2 site, reporting to the Project Manager and coordinating directly with subcontractors, the design team, and the client.

• Manage the site from restaurant/bar fit-out mobilisation through to the follow-on hotel build
• Plan and sequence works to protect programme across both phases
• Coordinate and directly manage subcontractors and direct labour on site
• Enforce health and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with site-specific safety statements and statutory requirements
• Chair daily and weekly site meetings, coordinating with the design team on RFIs and technical queries
• Manage site logistics in a live Dublin 2 city-centre environment, including deliveries, hoarding, and public interface
• Monitor and report on programme, quality, and progress to the Project Manager and senior management
• Manage snagging, handover, and close-out through to practical completion
• Mentor site supervisors and junior site staff

Requirements
