Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd is seeking a General Foreman to supervise multiple sections of a major construction site in Ireland. You will lead Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to deliver works in line with programme, cost and quality targets while ensuring safety, environmental and quality standards are met.

The role requires a trade or technical background with substantial supervision experience, plus IOSH or equivalent health and safety training.

Qualifications

Experience supervising construction teams on medium to large scale projects.
Strong leadership to manage multiple site teams.
Knowledge of construction methods, trades and codes of practice.
Excellent communication with site teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily construction activities across multiple sections of the site.
Lead Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to deliver works on programme, cost and quality targets.
Monitor subcontractors and workforce for contract compliance.
Implement and maintain HSEQS on site.
Ensure site records (logs, reports, materials) are accurate.
Coordinate with Site Manager to allocate resources and prioritise work.
Identify risks, report issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in site briefings, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings.
Mentor junior site staff and develop team capability.
Support Site Manager in maintaining discipline, productivity and culture.
