Job summary

John Sisk & Son is seeking a General Foreman to supervise multiple sections of a project site under the Site Manager. You will ensure safety, quality and timely delivery while coordinating Section Site Supervisors and subcontractors.

Based in Ireland, the role focuses on leading teams, maintaining HSEQS compliance and developing site capability. A trade or technical background and relevant site supervision experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising construction teams on medium to large scale projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple site teams.
• Knowledge of construction methods, trades and codes of practice.
• Effective communication with site teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities across multiple sections of the site.
• Lead Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to deliver works in line with programme, cost and quality targets.
• Monitor the performance of subcontractors and workforce to ensure compliance with contract specifications and company standards.
• Implement and maintain health, safety, environmental and quality management practices on site.
• Ensure site records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and material records, are accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with Site Manager to allocate resources and prioritise work effectively.
• Identify operational risks, report issues and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Participate in site briefings, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings.
• Mentor junior site staff and contribute to the development of team capability.
• Support the Site Manager in maintaining site discipline, productivity and adherence to company culture.
