Job summary

NRL in Ireland is seeking a General Foreman to oversee construction operations for a major project in Dooradoyle. This role suits a highly organised site manager focused on safety, quality and timely delivery.

You will establish programmes, coordinate trades, interpret drawings and ensure compliant method statements and risk assessments, while championing environmental controls with the team.

Qualifications

• Must-have First Aid at Work certificate.
• IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety management training.
• Knowledge of Temporary Works and Excavation Safety.
• Experience with permitting requirements for live energy works.
• Ability to work at heights and with scaffolding.
• Understanding of lifting, cranage operations and HSEQS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor key stage programmes.
• Set up the site and maintain site security and presentation standards.
• Take possession of the site, plan and coordinate trade activities.
• Apply for temporary service connections.
• Interpret drawings and specifications, and communicate directions to site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure that method statements and risk assessments for high-risk activities are completed.
• Request outstanding information from the professional team and confirm verbal instructions.
• Assist with obtaining necessary approvals to ensure safe project progression.
• Review buildability and identify methods of construction for programme/commercial advantage.
• Collaborate with the Environmental Co‑ordinator to implement site environmental controls.
• Attend and document site, subcontract, and internal meetings.
