Job summary

Stewart Construction, a top Irish Contractor with over 120 years of excellence, seeks a proactive Senior Site Engineer to join our growing team on prestigious commercial, industrial, and educational projects. You will work with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality works across Ireland.

You will manage site engineering activities, supervise engineers, ensure works match drawings and QA standards, and liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and design team to resolve

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience working as a Site Engineer within the construction industry.
• Experience working on commercial construction projects is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying, and construction drawings.
• Experience using surveying equipment such as Total Stations and GPS.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and quality procedures.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full clean driving licence. Role is fully site based.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site engineering activities on construction projects.
• Oversee and provide support management of Site Engineers and Junior Engineers.
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors, and design team to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain accurate site records, QA documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Review the design in detail for buildability and generate a schedule of issues for each stage of construction.
