You will work on a high-profile project in Dublin City Centre, liaising with consultants and subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are met while delivering to programme milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer role within the construction industry.
• Qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Previous experience with a main contractor.
• Strong setting out and technical coordination experience.
• Ability to deliver projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate site records, drawings and technical documentation.
• Carry out setting out and ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Interpret and communicate complex plans, drawings and technical specifications to site teams.
• Manage, monitor and coordinate site works in line with contract documents.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, architects, planners and the wider project team.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractor works and direct labour on a daily basis.
• Organise site logistics and plant use to maximise efficiency.
• Oversee quality control, BCAR compliance and site health & safety implementation.
• Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all activities adhere to regulatory standards.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges and site-based issues promptly.
• Plan work schedules to meet key project milestones and deadlines.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site management team.
• Ensure works meet specification and programme requirements while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join one of our client's site teams, a leading main contractor, on a high-profile project based on Dorset Street, Dublin.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer role within the construction industry


• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline


• Previous experience working with a main contractor


• Strong setting out and technical coordination experience


• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects from inception through to completion


• Strong technical and practical knowledge of construction processes, standards and regulations


• Ability to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a wider project team


• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work


• Excellent attention to detail


• Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
