Job summary

DB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a residential development project in South Dublin. The role requires hands-on leadership on-site and a strong focus on safety, quality and programme delivery.

You will review designs, coordinate trades, manage documentation, and drive site meetings, with a proven track record in engineering environments and Level 8 qualification. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a construction or engineering environment.
• Level 8 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of construction processes and standards.
• Ability to achieve demanding programme, quality and commercial targets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Health & Safety management on the project.
• Review and comment on design drawings, raising RFIs where required.
• Lead Design Team Meetings and ensure timely close-out of design issues.
• Coordinate site trades and ensure testing and commissioning milestones are achieved.
• Monitor quality of work by subcontractors and suppliers and maintain QA documentation.
• Lead on Temporary Works procedures and BCAR compliance.
