Job summary

ICDS (UK) Ltd in Dublin seeks a Senior Engineer (Housing) to lead health and safety on a residential project in Saggart/Rathcoole, West Dublin. Salary ranges €75k-€80k with allowances, bonus and healthcare.

The role requires design review, coordination of subcontractors, QA, and close collaboration with the design and site teams. Experience delivering housing schemes, managing stakeholders such as Irish Water and ESB, and leading engineering teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own/oversee health and safety on the project.
• Review and comment on design drawings; raise RFIs as needed.
• Participate in design team meetings and resolve outstanding issues.
• Monitor delivery programme and intervene to prevent delays.
• Coordinate subcontractors and service providers to meet testing/commissioning timelines.
• Audit quality of subcontractor work and supplier performance.
• Ensure works comply with Building Regulations and design docs.
• Maintain site records, QA documentation, and issue resolution.
• Lead technical submittals, benchmarks, and inspection management.
• Champion DMS (Zutec) implementation and BCAR compliance.
• Coordinate scaffold inspections as directed by Site Manager.
• Manage site drawings and ensure QA docs are up to date.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to deliver on time and budget.
• Lead Temporary Works Management on the project.
• Engage with Irish Water, ESB and local authorities; manage stakeholders.
• Support PM with development plans for direct reports.
• Chair site and construction team meetings.
