Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, security operations, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cybersecurity platforms and leading major incidents is preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP/ISSAP/GIAC or equivalent are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority across the Security Platforms portfolio.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical, operational, and security issues.
• Deputise for the Director of Security Platforms when required and represent the function in leadership forums.
• Provide portfolio-level technical direction aligning security capabilities with the platform strategy.
• Mentor Technical Security Leads and platform engineering teams to strengthen decision-making and governance.
• Develop platform strategy, roadmaps, governance standards, and operating models.
• Lead evaluations, PoCs, and assessments of emerging security technologies.
• Evaluate and govern AI-enabled security technologies and security automation opportunities.
• Partner with Security Operations, Cyber Defence, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, Architecture, Engineering, Risk and Compliance.
• Drive platform adoption, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead root-cause analysis and remediation for significant incidents and recurring issues.
• Engage with strategic vendors to influence product direction and value from investments.
