Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Lead Security Engineer to architect and operationalize enterprise security platforms across the organisation. The role combines hands-on delivery with technical ownership for auditable, scalable security capabilities and cross-functional collaboration with architecture, risk and operations teams.

The ideal candidate brings extensive SSE/SASE experience, strong networking fundamentals and hands-on scripting skills.

Competenze

• 12+ years IT security/infra experience.
• Hands-on with SSE/SASE platforms and ZTNA.
• Strong networking fundamentals and tooling experience.
• Experience in regulated environments and audits.
• Ability to document decisions and present risk tradeoffs.

Mansioni

• Contribute security platform engineering decisions and governance.
• Design, engineer and operate security tools across domains (zero-trust, SASE/SSE, network, vulnerability mgmt).
• Develop maturity models and metrics for assurance and compliance.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, risk and audit teams on security initiatives.
• Support audits and regulatory exams with evidence quality and traceability.
