Job summary

SoftCo is seeking a senior, hands-on Security Engineer to own security across our SaaS product, cloud platform, and corporate environment. This is an individual contributor role for a technical specialist.

You will embed security across the development lifecycle, build security automation in CI/CD (SAST/DAST/SCA), harden cloud environments, and partner with Compliance to maintain ISO 27001 and SOC certifications while communicating risk clearly to non-technical colleagues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on security engineering in B2B SaaS.
• Proven experience securing applications and the SDLC (OWASP, SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Solid cloud security knowledge (AWS/Azure), CI/CD, container security, IAM, and SSO.
• Good understanding of AI security risks in product engineering and internal use.
• Ability to explain technical risk clearly to non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Embed security across the development lifecycle with threat modelling, secure design, code reviews and secure coding standards.
• Build and maintain security automation in CI/CD pipelines (SAST/DAST/SCA, infra-as-code scanning).
• Scope/manage third-party pentests, triage findings and drive remediation with engineering teams.
• Act as a hands-on advisor to developers and grow a security champions network in Engineering.
• Own security for cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and corporate tooling (MDM, SSO).
• Lead investigations and define controls for safe AI use across products and business.
