Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a senior technical leader to advance security-driven development and automation across its enterprise. You will architect and deliver AI-enabled workflows, API integrations, and platform services that strengthen cyber defense while reducing manual toil.

Responsibilities include building AI agent-based processes, secure integration patterns, and vulnerability scanning capabilities, with an emphasis on auditable controls, governance and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering or related tech disciplines.
• Hands-on Python development with API consumption, data transformation and automation.
• Experience integrating security, ITSM, cloud and data platforms via REST APIs or event-driven patterns.
• Experience with LLM-enabled solution patterns, AI guardrails and secure enterprise AI.
• Ability to operate in a regulated environment with audit-ready evidence and change management.

Responsibilities

• Protect Northern Trust through Security Driven Development and Automation.
• Build development and automation capabilities that reduce cyber risk and improve security execution.
• Engineer AI agent-based workflows for triage, enrichment, correlation and remediation orchestration.
• Create secure API integrations across security platforms, ITSM, CMDB and cloud services.
• Develop reusable automation patterns and secure engineering standards for handoffs and governance.
• Design and build LLM-based vulnerability scanning and remediation solutions.
