Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Security Assurance to join our GRC engineering team. You will build security observability, compliance, and control management systems and tools, enabling proactive defense and governance across the SDLC.

You will collaborate with security, engineering, and auditors to deploy guardrails and secure workflows. This is a hands-on, technical role requiring Go/TypeScript/Python proficiency, cloud-native experience, and knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2,

Qualifications

• Experience developing in production environments using Go, TypeScript, or Python.
• Knowledge of containerized, cloud-native apps and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST, PCI-DSS; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Be a technical contributor on the GRC team covering certifications and security controls.
• Develop automated security assurance programs to meet regulatory requirements.
• Build security observability and compliance checks into pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into SDLC and operations.
• Respond to customer security issues, alerts, and incidents.
