Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Scientist, Manufacturing - Process Development to lead downstream unit operations for commercial biologics. The role involves tech transfer, troubleshooting, and process improvement across cross-functional teams, with emphasis on data-driven decision making and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical/biochemical engineering, biochemistry, biotechnology or related field required.
• Experience in biopharma with senior scientist level benchmark: BSc 7+ yrs, MSc 5+ yrs, PhD 2–4 yrs.
• Strong understanding of protein purification and downstream processing.
• Experience with chromatography and filtration equipment in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to analyze complex issues and present evidence-based recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for downstream unit operations in commercial biologics manufacturing.
• Lead tech transfer of assets to Cruiserath facility and wider network.
• Lead or support troubleshooting, investigations and CAPA development.
• Design and interpret studies to support process understanding and tech transfer.
• Author and review protocols, reports, assessments, and regulatory responses.
• Drive continuous improvement for robustness, efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with MS&T, Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Analytical and Regulatory teams.
